Our Story

The Overstay was founded in 2008 in a once-abandoned brothel in Bangkok’s Thonburi district. Our founder, Yuval Schwok, and friends created a space with an alternative lifestyle in mind—and it worked! Over the years, The Overstay has welcomed people from all over the world as a home to stay, dance, and create.

Now, we’re stepping it up a notch. We’ve got better facilities for co-working and hosting events, but we’re still all about keeping that offbeat, creative spirit alive. We’re also working hand-in-hand with Bangkok Island, which means even more rad activities on the river.
